Rakhigarhi village in Hisar district and Bhirrana in Fatehabad district are home to the largest and one of the world's oldest ancient Indus Valley Civilization sites, dated at over 9,000 years old.

The athletes from Haryana accounted for 22 or every third medal India won as the country finished third behind hosts Australia and England in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018. The feat is not new for this northern state with a population of 25 million people. Haryana won 19 of the 64 medals India collected in the 2014

OBJECTIVES

  • To Bring Together All Haryanvis living in Australia to Regain and Retain the Bond of Brotherhood.
  • To Establish Parents’ Recreation Centres to Make Them Feel at Home away from Home.
  • Organise 2-3 events every year that Showcase our Haryanvi Culture. Events like Haryana Day, Holi/Phaag and Teej.
  • Organise Sporting events (Inter State as well as Intra State).
  • Organise Monthly events to provide a One Stop Help & Support Centre for new migrants and students.
  • Work towards getting Haryana and Australian States into Sister State Agreement

A.H.A Launch In NSW Parliament

Association of Haryanvis in Australia (AHA) was formally launched on Oct 5, 2018 at New South Wales Parliament in Sydney. Our sincere thanks to Luke Foley, Leader of Opposition NSW, B Vanlalvawna, Consul General of India, Julia Finn, Member of Parliament for Granville, and Jodie McKay, Member of Parliament for Strathfield, for attending the launch and sharing our joy. A big thank you to all friends and families for being part of this momentous occasion. We are grateful for all good wishes received from all over Australia, India and around the world
